FINDING LOVE ONLINE
“But if you want to find the right person, you first need to be the right person. “
I got so overwhelmed in dating online. But one teary night got me up and started out asking myself for any reasons why I am dating online? Is it because I trust the site to provide me the options of seeking my destiny online through chatting and exchanging emails? Are these enough to meet the man God wants me to spend time with? I hoped I’d meet the right guy online. I have spent my time and effort keeping in touch with them. I have joined several dating websites hoping that the man I am looking for will eventually show up and meet me personally. I have met different people; I’ve showed them my real good intentions of why I’m connecting with them but only to have expectations unmet. Unfortunately, for almost two years of dating online, I haven’t met Mr Right yet. For some reasons, I come to think of just wasting my time on it, tiring myself online, waiting for no one and getting hooked on it. Finding mate online brings me disappointment and strikes me with loneliness. What could go wrong? I have friends, lots of them to mention, have found love online and now, are engaged and others are even married. How could these rapidly growing dating sites turn me down? Would there be any wrong in me? Should I blame myself of not finding one because of not being too good at chatting and impressing those men? I was drowned with bitterness. Insecurity fawned to me. I've almost forgotten that God, Almighty will never fail you, which He will send Mr Right in His perfect time. There’s no need to be in a hurry. Why should I be in a hurry? Why should you? In fact, being in a hurry often puts you into trouble. There’s always a perfect time for everything. There’s always a right season for love.
And guess what made me say that? After a couple of months surmounting it, there’s one of many things that helped me get over it, God has spoken to me through this, and I wept. I faced off a God willing novel (Coffee in Manila) written by a concerned American, after providing Christian counselling in the Philippines for 7 years, God finally commanded him to write this story, revealing the possible hazards young Filipinas might confront in dating online. I came across with sad and happy love stories in the book. I’m very grateful to have read the novel, it fed me a wonderful message I have never imagined it is. It helped me understand the right concept of love I've been dreaming of, a love story that God has promised if we only trust it to Him and let Him write it for you. What a sweet God He is!! God refocused me to some changes needed.
The novel tells a love story of Ryan, an American and Maricel, a Pinay ( woman from the Philippines). They meet in one of the dating websites and fall in love with each other. When Ryan visits the country to meet his girlfriend, he also intends to visit other two girls, both pinays and there begins the story of betrayal and forgiveness, hopelessness and sadness, genuine faith, friendship, love, wrong doings and filthy actions noticed about some men and women who date online, moreover, it brings out bad intentions of some foreigners who come and prey young Filipinas for their lust and sexual desires only. They come and meet making those gals believed they’re really coming for real love and marriage but after all they’ve done what their real reasons are, they’ve vanished leaving those women hopeless and broken. They've gone away leaving those they’ve preyed in trouble making them conceived false promises and heartaches that somehow end their precious life. Those ladies who have been victimized online.
That very inspiring and educating novel brought me tears as well as new hopes as I go on with my life, waiting for love whether online or not. I shared this online hoping to speak to our very own young, spirited and beautiful Filipinas to be aware of many scams in dating online. I also want to share this book to you hoping to give you real hopes and enlightenment about dating and digging into love. Fellow pinays, I’d like to encourage you through this book and let you have a go at it. It’s not only about the book; it’s also about your relationship with Heavenly God, you would not only discover real love but also, you would get it on with JESUS. The novel is godly inspired. It’s worth reading and it’s worth crying for. Subsequently, it gives me the idea of promoting the message in it. The real intention of this novel is to encourage those Filipinas, to educate them, and to expose them of some reasons why we need to be extra careful when dating online. It gives you guidelines and biblical foundation of sayings and plenty of advice in finding your love online. It also seeks to reach out those foreign men who spare their time hanging online to meet Ms. Right via dating sites. It may give you realizations that bring a big impact on your life. It may somehow cause you to change what your intentions are. Definitely, this novel offers you and the country a big change.
“By simply reading the preview chapter of this life-altering book, you’ll clearly see why so many believe Coffee in Manila will soon become the most-read book in all of the Philippines, and beyond! Most importantly, you'll agree that every woman living in the Philippines (including all parents), needs to have a copy of this book for themselves, especially those who are currently involved in the turbulent world of online dating! This book will be the ultimate wake-up call for most who read it! “, said the author. And another thing for this book is making you earn, reach out and help the mission in helping the flood victims in our country ( Philippines ).
So, God's people, what can you do to help?
It taught me a lesson I’m living right now. It is totally important that finding true love means becoming one. Finding the right person means being the right person. As the matter of fact, God sends the right man when He sees that everything in you is ready. God sees when you’re ready for His gift. Isn't it awesome? Finally, I'd like to share this favorite verse of mine,
" Hebrews 10:36 (Contemporary English Version) Learn to be patient, so that you will please God and be given what he has promised."
Praise God !!!
